Mission:
We are a temporary residential care facility for abused female children.
The Cebu Hope Center, as a welcome home for morally-endangered female children, provides a healthy environment and alternative quality care programs aimed at developing the child’s full potential and prepare her for eventual reintegration into the family and the society. We envision a better quality of life for abused children — where every child is loved, respected, protected and nurtured for the child’s growth and development.
The Cebu Hope Center’s clientele consists mainly of female children aged 5 to 18, who are victims of sexual abuse and other types of abuse such as abandoned, neglected and other types of abused, exposed to the dangers of exploitation or victims of moral degradation and deprived of normal and humane family environment.
The Cebu Hope Center is committed to actualize:
The vision of Dona Maria M. Aboitiz and the founding members to serve the socially-disadvantaged female children of Cebu and offer them hope, sense of self-worth and opportunities to succeed in life.
The charisma and spirituality of the Franciscan, the ideals and principles of Fr. Simplicio of the Nativity in the rehabilitation and care of children.
The holistic values of child-care in providing and maintaining a residential care, temporary shelter, structured-living environment, life-skills building and training programs, education, spiritual formation and other forms of allied services and assistance necessary for the child to grow and develop.

History:
Cebu Hope Center was established in 1981 under the patronage of Doña Maria M. Aboitiz to protect, serve and rebuild the lives of less fortunate and abused children. Before her death, Doña Maria entrusted the Center to the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts and appointed her daughter-in-law, Anne O. Aboitiz to be the President of the Center.
The Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts administered the Center in line with their mission to care, rehabilitate, educate and bring into mainstream of life those who have been severely damaged through, rejection, neglect or abuse.
The Center is a member of Children NGO Network (CNN), Cebu City Task Force on Street Children (CCTFSC) and VISNET ECCD. Cebu Hope Center is licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) both local and national.
